For furniture, mattress and appliance retailers
The old one is gone before your truck arrives
Your delivery crews are paid to install new product, not to solve what to do with the old one. When they arrive and the old sofa is still in the room, the delivery goes long, the customer is embarrassed, and someone gets a phone call. We take that problem off the delivery.
How it works for your store
Day-of-delivery coordinated removal
When your delivery window opens at or after 11:00 a.m., we take an arrival window that finishes at least 90 minutes earlier. The room is clear before your crew reaches the door.
Previous-day removal for early windows
When your delivery window opens before 11:00 a.m., we come the day before. A morning turnaround leaves no margin, and we would rather not gamble with your delivery.
The customer books and pays directly
You are not invoiced, you do not collect payment, and you are not in the middle of a pricing conversation. Hand over a code or a QR card and the customer does the rest.
White-glove removal from inside the home
We do not require the customer to drag anything to the curb. The team carries the old piece out of the room it is in, protecting the route on the way.
Photo-confirmed completion
Every booking carries the customer's photos of the item and access, so there is a record of the condition before and the room after.
You are not responsible for our scheduling
The haul-away is a contract between us and the customer. If we need to move a window we deal with them, not you - your delivery is not on the hook for our route.
The mattress your crew has to refuse
Soiled mattress? Send them to us.
Every mattress retailer has a condition policy, and every delivery crew has had the conversation: the old mattress is stained, the policy says leave it, and the customer is standing there with a new mattress arriving and nowhere for the old one to go.
Your crew does not have to be the bad news. Hand the customer a referral card. We carry mattress bags on every job and have the handling skills to do this properly - bagged and sealed in the room, then carried out without touching floors, walls or doorframes.
- Your policy stays intact - you are not asking the crew to make an exception.
- The customer books and pays us directly.
- We schedule around your delivery window, or the day before it.
Where we also draw the line
Setting up a referral
- 1We create your codeSomething readable, like jeromes. It maps to a landing page at haul-er.com/retail/your-code with your store name on it.
- 2You share it however suits youA QR code on a card at the register, a line on the sales order, a link in the delivery confirmation email. The QR code is generated from the same URL.
- 3The customer books and pays usThe referral is recorded against their booking, their store name is prefilled, and any customer discount you have arranged is applied automatically.
- 4We coordinate around your deliveryThey give us your delivery date and window at booking. We schedule the removal 90 minutes clear of it, or the day before when the window opens early.
What we never show a customer
What we are not asking of you
We do not ask your crews to schedule anything, to quote anything, or to take responsibility for whether we turn up. The haul-away is a separate booking between us and your customer. If we have to move a window, we call them.
What we do ask is that the delivery window you give the customer is the one you intend to keep, because our scheduling is built backwards from it. If it changes, the customer tells us and we reschedule.
Get set up
Email contact@haul-er.com or call (858) 633-6042 with your store name and the locations you want covered. Setting up a code takes a day.
Customers can also just book directly - the referral code is optional, and the before-delivery scheduling works either way.
