Appliance removal and disposal

A refrigerator weighs more than most people expect and does not corner well. We take washers, dryers, ranges, dishwashers, refrigerators and freezers out of kitchens, laundry rooms and garages - once you have them safely disconnected.

Just your ZIP - the total builds as you pick items, before we ask who you are.

No name, no email, no phone call - your total builds on the next screen as you pick items. We only ask who you are when you book.

Before we arrive: the disconnection rule

This is the one thing that gets appliance pickups cancelled on the doorstep. Our teams move appliances; they do not disconnect utilities. Water, gas and electrical connections must be safely disconnected by you or a qualified party before we come.

In practice that means: water lines to a washer or dishwasher shut off and drained, a gas dryer or gas range disconnected and capped by someone qualified to do it, and everything unplugged. If a gas line is involved and you are not certain, book a plumber or the gas company first and schedule us afterwards.

Refrigerators and freezers

Empty, defrosted and dry, please. A freezer that is still thawing leaks the whole way out of the house and through the truck. Give it a day with the doors open and towels down, and the pickup is straightforward.

Over-range microwaves and built-ins

Built-in and over-range units need to be uninstalled before we arrive - we take them away, we do not remove them from cabinetry. A free-standing microwave is fine as-is.

Getting it out of the room

Tell us about the stairs, the door widths and the turn at the bottom when you book. A side-by-side refrigerator through a 30-inch doorway is a different job from one in an open garage, and we would rather plan for it than discover it. Stairs are one flat fee for the job; a curbside pickup takes $20 off.

Replacing an appliance?

If the new unit is being delivered, the old one usually has to be out first - many delivery crews will not install around an appliance that is still in place. Our Before-Delivery Haul-Away Guarantee schedules the removal around your delivery window, or the day before when the window opens early.

What we do not handle

We do not disconnect gas, water or electrical connections, and we do not remove built-in appliances from cabinetry. Refrigerant-bearing appliances are handled according to our current disposal arrangements - ask us if you need specifics for your unit.

Appliance removal questions

My delivery crew refused to take my old mattress because it was stained. Can you?

Yes. Retail delivery crews work to a store condition policy, and a stain or soiling is often enough for them to leave the old mattress behind. That is a normal pickup for us: we carry mattress bags, bag and wrap it on site, and take it out without it touching your floors or walls. Book it like any other item and choose the soiled or stained condition so the team arrives ready.

How much does furniture haul-away cost?

Pricing is per item, not per truckload. A sofa starts at $179, a sectional at $249, a mattress or box spring at $119, and most appliances at $129. Those prices are the same in every county we serve - there is no travel surcharge. You see the full breakdown before you book, including any stair charges.

Do you charge extra for stairs?

Yes - a flat $25 whether it is one flight or two, covering a walk-up as high as the 3rd floor. Above the 3rd floor we need a working elevator, and an elevator means no stairs fee at all.

Can you take my old furniture out before my new furniture arrives?

Yes, that is the Before-Delivery Haul-Away Guarantee. Tell us your retailer and delivery window when you book. If your delivery window opens before 11:00 a.m. we come the previous day; if it opens later, we take a window that finishes at least 90 minutes before the delivery window begins.

Do I have to be home for the pickup?

Not for a curbside or driveway pickup. Leave the item accessible, tell us where it is in the special instructions, and we will send photo confirmation when it is gone. For anything inside the home, someone 18 or older needs to be there to let the team in.
